SOUR CREAM CAKE

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
SIFT ABOVE DRY INGREDIENTS AND SET ASIDE
1/2 cup shortening (nana likes crisco)
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 T vanilla
1 cup sour cream
BLEND SUGAR AND SHORTENING
ADD EGGS ONE AT A TIME, ADD DRY INGREDIENTS
AND SOUR CREAM
Filling:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup nuts
2 tsp cinnamon
Directions
Put filling ingredients in separate bowl and drop 1 T of the cake batter in,
crumble filling with batter in fingers. Grease pan, put 1/2 batter in pan,
cover with 1/2 the filling, then add the rest of batter and the rest of the
filling, on the top. (no info on temp of oven or how long).

JELLY TOTS

Ingredients:
1 cup Crisco
1 cup sugar
CREAM TOGETHER and ADD
3 eggs
3 tsp vanilla
cups flour sifted WITH
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
CHILL DOUGH AND MAKE INTO SMALL BALLS, ROLL IN
CHOPPED NUTS OR COCONUT. PLACE ON BAKING SHEET,
MAKE DENT IN CENTER AND FILL WITH A DROP OF JELLY
Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes

DATE CAKE

Ingredients:
1/4 c shortening
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
beat together and add
1 c flour
1 tsp backing soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 c diced dates & 1 c chopped apples
350 for 45 minutes

IAN'S BRUSSEL SPROUTS CASSEROLE

Ingredients:
Brussels Sprouts, about a pound
Potato Chips, crushed
Can of Colmon's Mushroom Gravy or bechamel
Grated cheddar cheese
Directions:
Plunge brussels sprouts into boiling water until done. Slice them up. However.
Add the gravy and put the whole pile of stuff into an oven-ok pan.
Top with crushed potato chips and grated cheese. Yay!

MANDEL BROT

Ingredients:
3 eggs
1 1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup oil
3 1/2 cup flour
2 T baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 T vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
Beat eggs with sugar, add oil and all. Beat well, and knead lightly.
form flat wide rolls and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. slice
while hot and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. toast for an
additional five minutes

BLINTZES

Mix 1/2 cup flour, 2 eggs, beaten. A dd 1 cup liquid (1/2 milk and 1/2 water) slowly,
and a pinch of salt. This will make a very thin batter, fry in a hot buttered pan.
Filling: cottage cheese, sugar, egg

DATE NUT CAKE

Ingredients:
1 cup chopped dates
1 T crisco
1 cup boiled water
1 tsp cold water
mix this. Add
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup nuts
1 T vanilla.
Directions:
bake in a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes
